We are talking about doorknobs again. Yes, yes. But not just any doorknob. The special doorknob. I know it may sound completely crazy and a bit trivial. But ever since we bought the house there is one thing I knew: I wanted a special, unique doorknob for the pantry door in the kitchen. Yeah, I know. Kinda weird. And maybe a tad silly. But hey, that’s how I roll.
So today I thought I’d share the doorknobs I have narrowed it down to and hopefully get your opinion in the process. Meet the lovely three finalists:

Yes, all three are from the same store… Anthropologie, which I am obsessed with. I promise I looked at other stores (including a few local antique stores) but I didn’t find any that I loved as much as these three. Let’s get to know these beauties…
a. To start out with, we have the Tea House doorknob. It’s classic and timeless. And for some reason it reminds me of the movie Pollyanna. It was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. Maybe if I choose this one, Hayley Mills will randomly waltz in and ask me to play the “Glad Game” every now and then. If you haven’t seen that movie, you should.
b. Secondly, we have the Flora Forever doorknob. This ceramic knob is almost the same color as our utility room. Therefore, I thought it would be a fun yet understated way to tie in the two spaces. And I love the brass detailing. It makes me happy.
c. Then there is the Tea House doorknob– again. Even though it’s technically the exact same doorknob as the first one, it has a much different look. The black/brown crystal (or “Smoke” as Anthropologie calls it) will tie in with the soon-to-be dark hardwood floors. But it still has the Pollyanna-Hayley-Mills-Glad-Game aspect. Which is a good thing.
So… what do you think? What’s your opinion? A, B or C? I’d love to hear your opinion…
B all the way
I love C!
C!
I think B… or C. No, B. Yeah, B!
I like A. We had those in my house growing up. The clear glass will reflect the things around it.
B!
B looks like something you could pass down for generations. It would stand out and would make an awesome conversation piece.
B, totally!
I say C.
First of all I LOVE your blog! And I say C!
I’d say, C
I say C
‘A’ is too plain on a white door …it will get lost
‘B’ is so pretty (I would choose it but I wonder if the color will wear down with use)
‘C’ will really pop on the white door and dark floors.
C. It seems like B might get messy with it being in the kitchen. And I think C will look cool with the dark hardwood floors.
A!!!!!!
I think C, too!
C!
B
Can’t you just have three pantries! haha If I had to pick only ONE, I’d say C!
Definitely C (in my opinion, haha!)
I would find a doors for all three!
I know I’d be the odd sheep here, but I’m loving A…
I like them all but B looks like it would be hard to keep clean over the years and would limit your options for color changes in the future.
If your going for the “old timey” look then A is the option as they didn’t do alot of the C color then for standard housing.
Personally though I think C is best because it will stand out, be both old in style and modern in color and match the floor…it also won’t show finger prints as much and as it is in the kitchen/utility area prints and grime are gonna happen.
I’m totally lovin C
I really like A but it might blend in too much since it’s a white door. So I’d say… C!
LOVE them all….but we vote for C.
Wow! It looks like C is in the lead!
