Flooring

NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

ashley with santa

Yesterday, Greg mentioned that I would be blogging about the progress made in the master bathroom while we were on our (much needed) Disney vacation. Well… I was about to go over to the house to take some photos of the bathroom when my dad reminded me that, as of today, we can’t set foot inside the house until the floors are finished. That means we won’t be able to take any inside pictures until NEXT WEEK!

So here I am, sitting at the computer, pouting. I had every intention of going over to the house, snapping photos of our newly tiled, shiny, awesome bathroom, and sharing them with all of you, but noooo. I feel like that kid that’s all excited about going to see Santa ClauseΒ then tugs on the beard only to find he’s a fake. I’m that kind of disappointed.

The unhappy youngster pictured above is yours truly. I obviously didn’t like what was going on and clearly felt it necessary to express my dissatisfaction. But this time, I’m keeping my composure. Trying to anyway. πŸ˜‰

Haha! That is adorable! It sucks about not being able to go into your house though. What are you going to blog about then??

I feel the same way. How are we supposed to share in the awesomeness of a new renovation if you can’t take pictures!

Here’s hoping the floors are finished quickly!

Yeah… our floor guy is going to be “water popping” the floor to make the stain a tad darker (we’ll be sure to talk about that later). So there are some extra steps involved. Hopefully it will be worth it!

I clearly remember the day this photo was taken. Yep, I was there. As your beloved aunt, I was committed to stay through the process. As a bystander, I wanted you to HUSH!!! I was so glad when you stopped the “Santa visit crying”… at age 16. Love ya!

Water popping? I really would like to know more about that process! Is this technique something that all “floor guys” do?
