Sanding Floor

Today is the day! The floor staining has begun!! Can you tell we are excited?!

Soon, our light maple colored hardwood floors will be nice, rich dark walnut. And once the polyurethane smell has hit the road, then it’s time to start moving in our furniture that’s been in our climate controlled storage unit since April 1st. We miss it.

Check out our flooring process here, here and here.

Good Luck! Obviously you’ll have before/after pictures, plus details of the entire process, yes? We’ve got plans to do this, so hearing your ups and downs helps a ton!

Are you guys tackling this yourself, or having some pros do it?

While we love a good DIY project, we are definitely leaving this one to the pros! ; )

Oh….I forgot about there might be some fumes…..so how low does it take for that to go away? Can’t wait to see it all done!!

We can’t wait either! We’ve heard of people staying out of their house for up to two (or even three!) weeks. I’m sure it depends on the project though. So we are just going to play it by ear.
