Out of the “Office”

Greetings, everyone! I just wanted to pop in and let you all know we’re going to be “out of the office” this week. While I would love to say we’re going to be on a relaxing vacation somewhere awesome (thankfully, that will be going on in the Fall), the truth is we’re going to be busy with a big project going on over at our church. To make the long story short, our church (which is a relatively new church plant that’s been meeting in an elementary school) acquired a building and we’ve just had five short weeks to completely renovate the building (which needed a lot a ton of TLC) and “move in”. This being the last week, my week is going to be consumed with designing artwork for the classrooms, furniture shopping, last minute tweaks and so on.

Do What Matters // 7thhouseontheleft.com

For me, having the blog “on hold” for a week is akin to nails on a chalkboard. Not only do I miss blogging, but there are always a few people who start with the, “Why aren’t you posting?”, “Is something wrong?”, “Are you quitting?”… and so on and so on. The fact of the matter is that with everything else going on this week, it wouldn’t be humanly possible to keep all of the plates spinning at once – while keeping our sanity.

But do not fret, dear friends. Next week, we’ll be back at it with not one but two organizing projects, a dining room update and the kickoff for a fun room makeover that’s a bit out of our zone of “normal”. So, stay tuned and thank you so much for hanging in there with us. Image from here.

I don’t think it’s a font, but Jacques & Gilles is very similar (and a great font!).

Congratulations on the church finding a building, and prayers going out to you all for all the work that will be going in to that process this week.

My husband and I pastor a portable church campus and we are currently looking for a building! I would LOVE to see pictures of the finished product! I’m sure it’s going to look amazing!
