7th House on the Left

For this week’s edition of Etsy Thursday, we are talking art! There are hundreds upon hundreds of amazing artist who sell their original art on Etsy. I could spend all week clicking through the inspiring pieces and still not have seen all they have to offer. No exaggeration. A major perk about purchasing art from Etsy is it’s a great way to get some original art for your home without breaking the bank.

I love the Williamsbuilding Prints from Live From Brooklyn. They are super simple but oozing with charm and style. These would look great hanging in a series in a foyer or utility room. Actually, I might just have to snag a few of these myself! The awesome price makes them that much more tempting (3 prints for $10!). If you can’t get enough of these prints, bring them into your kitchen with their flour sack towels.

Artist Marc Johns was referred to me by Etsy via Twitter. I’m so glad they did because I am officially his newest fan! True story. His work is witty and whimsical and it was very difficult to pick a favorite from his collection. Since my mom has often deemed me a “bag hoarder” (and I must say, there is some truth to that), I’d thought we’d feature this print: Deluxe Carrying Case for an Ampersand. Love it.

Greg and I love nothing more than quiet nights at home with take out and a good movie. So it only seems natural that I’ve been eyeing this Let’s Stay Home print by Ashley G for the past couple weeks. I love the colors paired with the simple font. We’re toying with the idea of using it as the “color inspiration” for our master bedroom. I think these colors along with our espresso furniture, slate walls and all white bedding will create a calming room that we will enjoy… all thanks for Ashley G. : )

And that’s this week’s edition of Etsy Thursday! Next week, we will be showcasing some of our favorite last minute Thanksgiving decorations. ‘Tis the season!

Here we are with another edition of Etsy Thursday! This week, we are sharing some of our favorite jewelry finds…

etsy1 ETSY THURSDAY: JEWELRY EDITION

I love pretty much everything at Dreamy Vintage’s Etsy shop! So it was hard to pick just one favorite. After a bunch of clicking back and forth, I decided to feature this Vintage Sparrow Nest Glass bracelet. This nature inspired bracelet is totally classy with a touch of whimsy. The caramel colored vintage glass pieces are set in antiqued brass chain and finished with a green suede ribbon. I love how it’s really dainty yet chunky enough to make a statement.

Not only is this vintage inspired golden locket from Tyra Handmade Jewelry charming but it’s completely customizable. Choose your favorite combination of locket, birthstone and initial to create a meaningful piece of jewelry. This would make for a perfect unique baby gift!

Now something for the guys! If you search for “cufflinks” on Etsy, you’ll find them made from circuit boards, Legos, watch gears, baseballs, bottle caps, vintage typewriter keys and more. You name it; you can probably find a cufflink made from it on Etsy! While browsing through the unique creations, these sterling silver Six Pence Cufflinks from MFJ Designs caught my eye (and Greg’s eye, too). These are cast from British Six Pence. Six Pence are supposed to be lucky on your wedding day, so these would make for great groomsman gifts!

Here we are, another Etsy Thursday! This week, we are going to be highlighting a few of our favorite unique office supplies found on Etsy. Let’s get started…

etsy11 ETSY THURSDAY: OFFICE EDITION

First off, we have an iPhone/iPod docking station from WoodTec. Greg has officially put this on his Christmas wish list! “Re-connect with nature as you charge your apple devices.” Handmade from cedar wood, this docking station is the perfect mix of natural and high tech. Using a standard USB plug, it can be used to charge and sync with a computer or your wall adapter. Be sure to browse the rest of WoodTec’s products. They even have an iPad docking station!

I love this Antique Impressions Calendar from Colette Paperie! I like how each month is on an individual piece of 4.25″ x 11″ linen cardstock. That way, you can hang it on your fridge, memo board or even in a frame that you change out each month. The charming vintage-inspired illustrations are independently illustrated by Colette Paperie. I also really like their Botanical Calendar (I had a hard time picking out which to feature!).

When I came across this iSockit™ laptop case from Blythe, I fell in love with it. Ironically, this company is based in our hometown of Richmond, Virginia! What I love the most about these laptop cases is that they are made from vintage fabric. Bringing vintage charm to everyday items makes using them much more fun. Check out the Blythe shop for various sizes and fabric choices.

Tune in next Thursday for an extra pretty, Etsy Thursday: Jewelry Edition! Until then, do you have a favorite Etsy find or maybe a favorite Etsy seller? Let us know by leaving a comment.
